Recently I've been getting annoyed by my MBP's cpu whine. I also found out that the whine leaks to my external speakers!!!
I read this article and thought, I should get it fixed!
So I made a reservation with a mac 'genius' from the internet on last saturday, which worked (1st time it said no slots available, 2nd time it said that slot for 1:20pm on Monday).
Today, I went to the Regent St Apple Shop. When I got to the Genius bar, it wasn't clear that I had to 'check in' (is Apple going into Hotel business soon?). I checked in at 1:10, my reservation was at 1:20 but I actually got served at 1:40. I wasn't too happy with that.
The chat with the 'genius' was straightforward and process was swift. But I wished that he wasn't wearing a metallic watch... That thing was scratching my MBP!!!
Anyway, it's now in the repairs, it's gonna take 10 working days, so I'll be without my primary computer for 2 weeks now. Oh the pain!
Hopefully, when it comes back, it should be a SILENT MBP! (without scratches please)
